Winfield Ace Hardware 2nd annual Car Show!

Tyler loves going to car shows. This one was 5 minutes away at the Winfield Ace Hardware so we had to go. Look at this awesome Mustang! The owner told me this was a "Laguna" Mustang. It's HOT! I love the black with red. So then he asked if Tyler wanted to sit in it. What a question!!! The only thing bad about that was then Tyler thought that all the owners should let him sit in their cars. Like that was happening! He really liked an Army truck that was there, and even made me go into Ace to check for the "Army Guy". Of course I just had to laugh at that. I do know that alot of the people that have military vehicles wear camoflauge. So maybe it was a fair assumption after all. ;) This last photo is Tyler getting a bit jealous of me taking too many pictures of the hummingbird. Trust me it's a rare occurance not to get the the "fake smile" with the eyes looking off somewhere. So I think these are really cute, even though the sliding glass door over exposes the background a bit..

Pierogi Fest & Parade in Whiting, Indiana.

Tyler and I went to Pierogi Fest to eat and watch the parade. All the questions on the LONG walk from the car, "Mom, do they have rides?" No, Tyler they do not. A small white lie, that I hoped he wouldn't figure out, but like his Dad, you can't get anything past him! Mom, do they have a pool?" No Tyler it't not a water park. Mom, do they have a parade? Yes Tyler, but it's a silly one. We got very lucky and my Aunt Mary and cousin, Sharon already had a good parade watching spot which they so graciously shared with us. If you've ever been to Pierogi Fest you know the crowds, and how thankful we were to actually be able to sit! It was just as weird and wacky as it always is, with a few more parade entries than I've seen before. We even had the Chicago Blackhawks Zamboni with the mascot riding on it! NEAT. Tyler got a high five from Mr. Pierogi himself!! I love going to Whiting, it's a small town, where everyone knows everyone! I always think of it as the "Girls Show" girls dressing up for other girls!!! You know it's true. Guys could care less, they are only thinking of how to get us out of them. It has changed alot over the years, but still fosters that small town feel. Photos are taken with IPhone, don't judge LOL. No way I was carrying around 30lbs of camera gear with a 4 yr old in that crowd.. Oh and by the way Tyler did get to ride one of the rides! He was really good up at the fest, and I made sure to tell him that and how proud I was of him. I'm sure one of his favorite parts was getting to ride on Tommy's motorcycle. Such a long walk to the car and one tired little boy, when they offered to give us a ride of course I took them up on it. I must admit this woman was happy to get a ride too! Thanks Jimmy! Had I known, would I have still worn a dress? Hmmmmm.... (scratching head?)

Miranda Lambert concert at the Horseshoe Casino!!

My good friends Kerry & Keith took me to see Miranda Lambert at the Venue, in Horseshoe Casino. I've never been in the "Venue" part of it before so it was fun getting to finally go. I'm not a gambler so I rarely go to the casino. Since I was getting gussied up anyway I thought it would be a good time to finally get a Facebook profile photo. I have never had a photo of myself on there. Brianna (17 yr old daughter) came home early from her job at McDonalds and called me a "CREEP" ...........sheesh............that coming from the QUEEN of Self Portraits!!! LMAO. She said it was because I set up a tripod and used my shutter release???? Well just cause I don't want a profile pic where my face is all distorted because my arm isn't LONG enough to get a decent picture I'm a CREEP? So be it! I really like the photo and am happy to finally put a photo with a name. I have a senior photo session and hopefully a newborn session to do very soon. Of course I will be sharing with you my loyal blog followers. Here's the photo I used for my FB profile....

Hi everyone! Here's the slideshow I promised.. There's a line going through some of my watermarks. Lightroom is tricky with that and obviously I haven't mastered it yet....... It's just on the watermark and not really on the photo's just to clarify! I found a "lost" photoshoot with Jessica and I'll be going through that in the next few days.
